Church World Service Greensboro

Church World Service Greensboro opened in 2009 with the mission of welcoming refugees into lives of hope and dignity in the Triad. Since then, we have resettled over 1900 refugees, assisted with over 1000 job placements for refugees, and provided over 2500 refugees and immigrants with immigration legal services. 

CWS stands in a long tradition. Guilford County has been welcoming and resettling refugees for over 40 years. So many of you have your own memories of supporting refugees--helping Montagnard children with school, setting up apartments for a Burmese family, or taking a newly-arrived Ukranian refugee to a doctors appointment. Every day, CWSG is working to keep alive this spirit of hospitality through basic needs assistance, case management, volunteer programming, employment support, leadership development, advocacy, and immigration legal services.
