The Human Race 2021 is the 27th annual fundraiser for the Volunteer Center of Greensboro. This is a virtual 5k timed run and 1-mile fun run/walk that allows participants to raise money for their favorite nonprofit!
This event allows participants to raise money for their favorite nonprofit (agency, school PTA, church, etc..). The Volunteer Center takes care of all of the planning, and has managed the race since 1994, raising over $5 million for our community! Our goal this year is to raise $150,000 for participating nonprofits!
The Human Race is a unique way for our community to come together:
- About 100 different nonprofits form teams and recruit members to fundraise for their missions
- Dozens of companies form teams and their employees can choose the cause they are most passionate about
- Every registrant gets a fundraising page. Once you register, you will have your special link and you can share with those who want to support and donate.
Location: Anywhere you choose!
Time: You can run, walk, roll anytime between May 3 - June 5 and log your time on the ITS YOUR RACE app! Tune in to see the virtual program on June 5, 2021 at 10am. You can tune in by visiting www.volunteercentertriad.org

HOW DOES THIS WORK?

- Register for the 5k run online for a donation fee OR
-
- Register for the Virtual 1-mile fun run to walk, jog, roll, or just stay active with us as we virtually unite for this event.
- NOTE: Be sure to use the SIGN UP option and remember your password and login to edit your fundraising page and edit any race registrations for the future.

- Pick a location of your choice

- Pick any time or day between May 10th through June 5th to complete your 5k or 1 mile.

- When you are ready to race

- Download the IYR Virtual Mobile App:

- The app is super nifty and once you click “start race” the GPS tracks your distance. Once you have completed your 1 mile or 5k, the watch stops and automatically records your time. Results will be given during our live program on the 20th
